This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Temptation designed from a painting by William Adolphe Bouguereau shows a mother and her baby laying idly in the grass while the mother is holding an object of temptation that harkens back to the story of Adam and Eve who was tempted with an apple by Satan.  There is a notable contrast between the naked baby and the apple (the object of temptation and knowledge), but the baby is too young to understand all of the intricacies of temptation which she undoubtedly learn as she grows older.  The large tree looming in the background provides incredible shade, and we can see the glimmer of the bright meadow beyond.  This is a beautiful scene worthy of stitching!  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
