This fine arts counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Accolade designed from a painting by Edmund Blair Leighton shows a special ceremony taking place where a beautiful red-haired queen is inducting a young man into knighthood.  This scene is during the medieval period.  In the far right-hand corner you can see onlookers witnessing the procedure of knighthood.  The rays of sunlight are shining through an open window, and all has gone well on that day.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
