This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Titan's Goblet designed from a painting by Thomas Cole shows a gigantic mythical goblet filled with rain water and valves that keep the goblet from overflowing across the rugged mountainous terrain. The water that does fall to the landscape nourishes and enriches the soil to produce abundant vegetation. The goblet is perched high on top of a cliff and represents man's battle against established order and the monster in all of us that would be unleashed if given the chance. Another interpretation would be that the goblet represents the power of the sun whose light is visible in the background. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
