This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Dreams designed from a painting by Vittorio Matteo Corcos shows a young woman in a loose modern sage green dress sitting on a bench outside a building thinking about her dreams. Three of her books that are yellow are on the bench next to her including her hat that matches her dress. The fact that she is taking this stance and this pose was considered scandalous back in the era this artwork was completed because it was a revolutionary move for women who wanted to improve their standing in life, equal rights, equal pay, etc. thus creating the "New Woman." Her pose suggests that she is tired of being put in a small box of what she can and cannot achieve and is determined to achieve and flourish as a "New woman" with dignity. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
