This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Siren designed from a painting by Sir Edward John Poynter shows a lovely siren sitting on a large slab of rock by the ocean playing her lyre.  Her abundant reddish auburn hair is seen billowing over her shoulder as a slight breeze carries it into motion.  She is clothed from the waist down in filmy seafoam green and is sitting on a large blue wrap.  Her melody she plays is sweet to the ears and is capable of arresting the senses of any nearby sailors or fishermen to lure them closer.  The scene is full of bold color and richness.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
