This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Tristan and Isolde Sharing Potion designed from a painting by John William Waterhouse shows the two lovers about to drink a poisonous potion to do away with themselves.  Isolde, Princess of Ireland has been entrusted into the care of Tristan for the purpose of making sure that Isolde is transported to the King so that she can be married to him.  However, Tristan has fallen in love with Isolde himself, and rather than live with the idea of Isolde belonging to another, they have greed to kill themselves since they cannot be together as a couple.  But unbeknownst to them, the potion was switched to a love potion and the two fall even more madly in love, run off into the forest and get on with their lives together.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
