This flower counted cross stitch pattern in The Black Collection entitled Periwinkle designed from a painting by Pierre-Joseph-Redoute shows two plants intertwined together, one in pink and the other in white. The pink flower is beautiful with a dark center and lightness on the outer edges of the petals. The white flowers have a red center and seem to be peeking out from the pink plant. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
