This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Mystic Marriage of St. Catherine with St. Sebastian designed from a painting by Antonio da Correggio shows St. Catherine mystically betrothed to God through Christ as the Christ child takes the ring from John the Baptist to place on St. Catherine's finger. All of this supposedly occurred before St. Catherine became a martyr. St. Catherine is wearing a gown of gold to celebrate and commemorate this event. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
