This still life counted cross stitch pattern entitled Fruit Still Life with Lobster and Bread designed from a painting by Alexander Coosemans shows a porcelain bowl laden with peaches and grapes including pomegranate fruit on the table. A silver flask is pictured in front of a bowl of lobster, and a plate of rolls is placed in the forefront of the scene. We can see in the background the corner of a window with cloudy skies and large shrubs. The scene is full of symbolism in that the bounteous fruit that our Creator made is a celebration of life, and certain objects like the silver flask are more transient and materialistic and really mean nothing in life when you look at it from a Christian perspective. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
