This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Lady Clare designed from a painting by John William Waterhouse shows a young woman dressed in a gown of burgundy and crimson held at the waist with a slender belt, and she wears a single flower in her hair.  A sweet little lamb imbuing innocence is standing next to the young woman pale in coloring matching the paleness of the woman's skin tone.  There is a look of wide-eyed worry in her expression as she realizes her parentage is in question, and she is contemplating whether or not to reveal this to her betrothed who is of higher social rank and status than she.  A free-flowing river is noted in the background next to a large grove of trees.  She is a woman of great beauty, and it would be a shame not to stitch this masterpiece!  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
