This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Habert de Montmort Children designed from a painting by Philippe de Champaigne shows a group portrait of the children, seven in all, finely dressed in their best. The family dog is wanting to get into the portrait, and a bird is sitting on top of one of the large pillars. One of the daughters is holding a handful of flowers she has picked. This is all taking place with a serene landscape in the background framed with a burgundy drape. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
