This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Clyties of the Mist (aka The Mountain Mist) designed from a painting by Herbert James Draper shows three water nymphs dissolving into the mountain mist which was inspired by the legend of Daphne and Apollo in Greek mythology. The artwork was created by the artist in 1912. The artist really does a good job with techniques used by limiting sharp lines and making the images blend into each other creating ethereal beauty with a "mist" effect. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
