This religious counted cross stitch pattern entitled Christ in the Storm on the Sea of Galilee designed from a painting by Jan Brueghel the Elder shows Christ in a boat with his disciples fast asleep while they are panicking due to a severe impending storm with dark clouds hovering above. The wind is picking up and unfurling the sails of the boat violently while the waves have become quite turbulent. The disciples are struggling with their own faith (or lack thereof) in that they have let their human side of fear show instead of relying on the faith of the Master that they would be just fine. If you look at their postures, you can tell they are agitated and are wondering how Jesus could peacefully sleep while this foreboding storm is brewing. Jesus soon rises up from his slumber and is able, much to the surprise of his disciples, calm the storm with the wave of his hand. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
