This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Mounts of Abd El Kader designed from a painting by Alfred de Dedreux shows the horses that belong to Abd El Kader, an Algerian political leader who fought against colonialism from the French in his home country Algiers.  He was a skilled general and engaged in warfare as well as negotiation treaties with the French government.  One horse is white while another is a lovely shade of brown.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
