This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Wedding Cortege of Psyche by Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones shows the wedding procession of Psyche that just might be her funeral procession. Psyche has not found a mate as did her sisters, and fears that since she has angered the gods, she is destined to be marched up craggy cliff to await her fate of being married to a ferocious terrifying dragon-like creature that lives in the mountains. The mood is somber as everyone knows what fate awaits Psyche. No blended colors are used in our patterns. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect. Only full cross stitches are used in our designs.
