This Halloween counted cross stitch pattern entitled Countdown to Candy shows a vintage merry trio of children dressed in Halloween costumes, ready to hit the dirt and troll for treats. Two of them have a jack-o-lantern bucket to carry their treats, while the other doesn't. Perhaps she will be allowed to share with the others. This is during an era where parents did not have to worry and be so mindful of their children's safety, and could be carefree in knowing that their kids were watched over by caring neighbors, but times have changed. Nevertheless, the children cannot wait to meet with friends on their evening quest. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
