This religious counted cross stitch pattern entitled Christ of the Cornfield designed from a painting by Thomas Francis Dicksee shows the image of Jesus Christ standing in the midst of a cornfield which harkens back to the scripture that says, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath."  It simply means the Sabbath was made as a day of rest for man who toils the remainder of the week, and it was not created to be a burden to man.  The scripture comes from Mark 2:27. Furthermore, man is to remember to keep that day that is set aside holy.  This is a beautiful likeness of the Son of God and would be a pleasure to stitch.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
