This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Storm designed from a painting by Pierre-Auguste Cot shows a young couple who are romantically involved seeking from the storm. The young man is grasping his lover by the waist to keep her from falling as they run with her wrap overhead acting as an umbrella to get out of the rain. From what we can see of the sky and background, the weather looks ominous with pure blackness indicating the severity of the storm and indicating how important it is to seek shelter at this point. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
