This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Chiesa San Simeone in Venice, designed from a painting by Karl Kaufmann, shows the cityscape of the famous domed church in its glorious architecture near the canal. Gondolas are seen cruising up and down the canal past the church. The sky is blue with cream-colored puffy clouds floating in a sunny sky. The color or shade of blue used on the church dome really stands out against the sky and the surrounding buildings, adding a sense of beauty and intensity of color. The water is calm with tiny rippling waves, and all seems well. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
