This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled A Brig leaving Dover designed from a painting by George Chambers shows the choppy water is full of sailing vessels with the Brig in the foreground in front of the Dover cliffs.  A small fishing boat full of men is heading out into the open sea in the opposite direction, and a steamer is behind the Brig pulling up the rear.   The sky is clear where all of the action is going on; however, further back towards the left, the skies look threatening signaling a possible storm.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
