This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Lady Sheffield designed from a painting by Thomas Gainsborough shows a portrait of Lady Sophia Charlotte Digby in celebration of her marriage to Sir John Sheffield in 1784. She is posing in a blue satin gown and hat with a large matching bow. The dress gives off a high sheen as it rustles in the breeze with shades of early autumn in the background. Of note is that she is prominently displaying her wedding ring. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
