This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Favorite designed from a painting by Leon Francois Comerre shows a beautiful dark-haired woman posing in front of a tiled wall in pastels and oriental influences. Underneath the wall is glasswork in many colors forming large mosaic flowers. The woman herself is wearing a loose-fitting gown with a belted sash and a headband adorned with large flowers in pink, white and coral. She has an air of confidence in her expression as she knows she is the sultan's favorite. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used.
