This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled A Portrait of a Tyrolean Girl designed from a painting by Ludwig Knaus shows the portrait of a young Italian girl dressed in clothing characteristic of an earlier time period.  Notice the young girl's dark eyes and the expression on her face as she peers out at you from the canvas.  The shading and color of her headdress and attire look so realistic that it could pass for a photograph.  It would be a beautiful portrait to stitch!  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
