This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Patrocle designed from a painting by Jacques-Louis David shows a nude male also called "Patroclus" who was a celebrated heroic figure in the Trojan war.  According to Greek mythology, he fought gallantly until he was killed in battle by a warrior named Hector.  He was also an important character in Homer's Iliad.  In this scene he is completely nude and is facing away from us. His body is well-formed and muscular, and he is the son of Argonaut Menoetius. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
