This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Juno Receiving the Head of Argos designed from a painting by Jacopo Amigoni shows that according to Greek mythology, Argos was assigned by Hera to watch a cow (of which a priestess had been transformed).  Hermes saw Argos and slayed him by beheading him and bringing the head to Juno who took out the eyes and affixed them to a nearby peacock.  The cherubs are present and bare witness to the act of the transfer of the head and the placement of the eyes.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
