This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Angel of Night designed from a painting by Frederick Marriott shows the stately portrait of an angel adorned in jewels from her headpiece down to her necklace. The gloss and sheen in this portrait has the look of a stained glass tiffany window, and everything is literally sparkling including the crest of the angel's halo. She is a magnificent representation of angels and is probably considered one of beauty and stature in the hierarchy of angels. Her wings appear as if they were made of lapis shells, and the glistening effect is notable against the dark blue and greens of the nighttime sky. The sky is littered with stars alike, but they pale against the shimmering effect emanating from this angel. It's simply one-of-a-kind! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
