This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Sphinx designed from a painting by Firmin Baes shows a dark-haired woman of uncommon beauty draped in a dress of metallic gold that seems to be dripping off her skin.  She sits on an ottoman that is draped in a leopard skin coverlet.  This vision of the woman against the deep aqua and teal background makes her visage really stand out and adds to the allure.  She is given the name "Sphinx" because she is a mysterious woman, and we cannot tell what she is thinking from her expressions.  It is a riddle we may never unravel, but that adds to the mystique.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
