This landscape counted cross stitch pattern entitled Nature’s Unusual Colors in the Rockies designed by Tracey Marvel Kramer shows a fantasy landscape of the Rocky Mountains created in colors that are vibrant and are meant to surprise the mind to explore other possibilities.  The wildflowers are strewn across the landscape in patches of violet and deep fuchsia against the tufts of golden turf while the trees in the background are in bright colors with subtle traditional hues normally seen in wilderness settings.  The pool of spring water is a deep azure with yellow reflections from the sun warming the water’s surface while the massive mountains in the background still bear the evidence of snow-covered peaks keeping a winter’s everlasting beauty against the deep blue sky.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
