This fine art counted cross-stitch pattern entitled Eos designed from a painting by Evelyn De Morgan shows the Greek goddess of the dawn standing upon a rugged shoreline, tilting a vessel to pour out the morning dew as white birds take flight across the horizon. In creating this piece, De Morgan wanted to emphasize the gentle, life-giving power of the new day and the spiritual awakening that comes with the morning light. The visual palette is a radiant blend of soft, golden yellows and vibrant sunrise pinks in the goddess's magnificent wings, beautifully contrasted by the deep, earthy greens of the coastal flora and the shimmering blues of the sea. The scene captures the silence of a coastal dawn, where the only sound is the rhythmic pour of dew and the distant cry of gulls. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
