This fine art counted cross-stitch pattern entitled Shipwrec designed from a painting by Joseph Vernet shows survivors reaching a rocky shore beneath a towering cliff while a battered vessel flounders in churning waves as golden sunlight pierces storm clouds. You can almost catch the sharp, salty scent of sea spray carried on howling coastal winds as turbulent waves crash against dark, slippery rocks. The most dramatic part of the scene is the heavenly light breaking across the storm, which grabs your attention. This is a powerful maritime scene that is bound to evoke conversation from guests who visit your home.  Our patterns use only full cross stitches. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
