This vintage counted cross stitch pattern entitled A Handsome Frog is He shows a frog dressed in a waistcoat, cravat and vest looking as handsome as ever. He patiently awaits the presence of his lady, but she has not shown up as of yet. He parts the flowers and overgrowth to make himself fully visible. The scenery shows that it is springtime, and a dragonfly is buzzing overhead with a dizzying array of flowers at their lovely prime. This scene gives up hope for next year when we will all look forward to the vigor and beauty of spring. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
