This waterscape counted cross stitch pattern entitled Paradise on the South Seas shows a gorgeous beach with fine golden sand illuminated from glints of sunlight peeking out from the storm clouds. Yet the sky is dominated just overhead by stormy rain clouds heavy with rainwater about to unleash the power of impending rain very soon. A large rock in the forefront glistens from the variations of light and adds an interesting texture to the mix. The water varies from celery green to grass green and darkens to the color of teal as it moves closer to the land masses in the background. Just minutes from now one would expect to see streaks of lightning in the sky and those who are exposed to the elements should run to take cover. What a dramatic scene that is about to unfold! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
