This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled A Street Scene in Winter, Copenhagen designed from a painting by Paul Gustave Fischer depicts urban life in a street scene in the heart of the city during winter. The bustling crowds of people are milling about, going in and out of shops, and engaged in their day-to-day selling and buying characteristic of urban life. It happens to be a lovely gray day with shades of gray and ecru in the winter sky; the rooftops are covered with snow, and the shades of brown on the buildings bring a out richness to the scene. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
