This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Medea designed from a painting by Evelyn de Morgan shows Medea portrayed as a tormented soul who is bathed in ornate colorful surroundings. In Greek mythology, Medea was married to Jason of the Argonauts and bore him two children. Then Jason did the unthinkable and left her for another woman. Here we see Medea burdened with grief and holding a vial of poison in her hand. She is contemplating murder and eventually poisons the other woman and the woman's father, including the children she had with Jason as an act of revenge. The colors are breathtaking and rich in tone. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
