This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Pandora designed from a painting by Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema shows Pandora holding a small urn that contains the ills of the world.  Its lid is covered with a sphinx and she is standing there tempted to open the urn, but has not yet gotten the nerve to do it in this scene.  Of note is Pandora's red hair that is adorned with lavender.  The colors are lovely water-colors that tend to show textures not achieved with other methods, and our eyes carry us to the ocean in the background where you can almost hear the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. This would be lovely to stitch!  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
