This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Portrait of a Young Woman in a Turban designed from a painting by Jacques-Louis David shows the portrait of a young woman in simplistic attire of a white turban and a gray work dress worn to do her daily chores.  The artist painted the portrait in a neoclassicism style where restraint, order and a simplistic nature are used instead of the Rococo style which is far more ornate and is the opposite of neoclassicism. The expression on the woman's face says more than words in that she does not have the luxury of idleness like her counterparts and must engage in the day-to-day toil of life to earn a living.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
