This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Shepherdess, designed from a painting by Jean-Honore Fragonard shows a scene of idealized beauty created in a romanticized rural portrait of a shepherdess dressed in Bo peep finery. She is resting on a veranda while her sheep are grazing nearby. Of note is that she seems to treat the sheep more like pets than just aimless creatures. The lovely pastel hues in this scene are beautiful and serene and transport the mind to a better place. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
