This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Ring designed from a painting by John William Godward shows a woman dressed in a belted red flowing gown leaning against a garden wall as she admires her ring. A suitor may have given her this ring; however, she seems to be enamored by it and cannot stop admiring it. The background and surrounding colors are muted when compared to the vibrant color of her garment. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
