This fine art counted cross-stitch pattern entitled Fall in Spreewald designed from a painting by Walter Moras shows a dense, golden forest mirrored in the still waters of a woodland pond, with a glimpse of a rustic cottage nestled deep within the trees. In creating this masterpiece, the artist wanted to emphasize the rich, layered textures of the Brandenburg forest and the tranquil harmony between the earth and the water. A sophisticated tapestry of deep forest greens, warm ochres, and muted sepias, all tied together by the soft, hazy light that filters through the autumn canopy, is used to create a colorful effect that is pleasing to the eye. This pattern is for nature lovers and landscape enthusiasts like myself who appreciate the brooding, atmospheric realism of the late 19th-century German school and the quiet, hidden beauty of the Spreewald’s marshy woodlands. The scene captures the essence of a late October day, where the world is bathed in a soft, nostalgic glow.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
