This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Justice and Peace designed from a painting by Corrado Giaquinto shows an allegorical representation and personification of the ideals of justice and peace shown in this scene embracing each other. The symbolism also represents King Ferdinand VI of Spain's peaceful reign following the War of the Spanish Succession. Of note is the presence of a dove representing the Holy Spirit, overlooking and residing over the pleasant state of being with ultimate peace and tranquility achieved, and even alludes to the consummate peace between God Himself and mankind. Peace is shown in pink robes with an olive branch, while justice is represented by a sword and scales showing fairness. The slain youths represent the end of the war. This is a beautiful representation of fairness and peace, and it certainly deserves to be stitched and displayed in any formal area of distinction in your home. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
