This religious counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Last Supper designed from a painting by Pascal Adolphe Dagnan-Bouveret shows Jesus and his disciples eating together for the last time before his crucifixion.  During this meal, Jesus broke bread and shared wine as symbolism for the bread being his body and the wine being his shed blood (which is the ceremony we Christians, practice today during Holy Communion).  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
