This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The New Shawl designed from a painting by Louis-Emile Adan shows a woman dressed in a very stylish manner trying on a new crimson-colored shawl. As she is trying it on, she looks back to admire herself in her mirror and cannot wait to show the shawl off to her acquaintances. Of note is that her boudoir is very plush in nature full of warm colors like pink, rose and mint green befitting someone of her stature. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
