This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Herding Sheep in a Winter Landscape at Sunset designed from a painting by Joseph Farquharson shows a winter's day with a gorgeous blazing sunset across the sky as the shepherd is herding his sheep at the end of the day. The evening is drawing closer, and the sun is a blazing ball low in the sky, shining behind the silhouettes of the trees. It's been a long day, and the shepherd cannot wait to climb into bed and escape the winter cold. The sheep will be settled into their barn for shelter until the next day when the shepherd must rise early in the morn to repeat the same process over again. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
