In Greek mythology, the myth of Ganymede tells the story of a hero renowned as the most beautiful of all mortals. Because of his radiant beauty, Zeus became enamored with him. Disguising himself as a giant eagle (or sending his eagle messenger, the Aetos Dios), Zeus carried Ganymede away from Mount Ida to Mount Olympus. There, Ganymede was granted eternal youth and immortality, serving as a cupbearer. Our patterns use only full cross stitches. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
