This Irish counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Spirit of Ireland designed by Tracey Marvel Kramer shows a young Irish woman posing with a symbol of Ireland, a large shamrock.  The shamrock was often used by St. Patrick to explain The Holy Trinity as the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  The spirit of Ireland means to take life with a sense of courage and a sense of humor in anything you do. In Ireland, the three leaves have also been known to mean faith, hope and love.  When you combine the two definitions, you realize that when you have faith and hope, you are being courageous which defines the true spirit of Ireland.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
