This fine art counted cross-stitch pattern entitled Kitten designed from a painting by William Clarke Wontner shows an elegant young woman in rich robes tenderly holding up a tiny black kitten before a marble pillar. The woman wears a long, carmine-colored headcovering adorned with embroidered flowers, a long red skirt, and a sash around her waist that repeats the pattern.  She holds up the little kitten, which she finds simply adorable, as it had been roaming around the premises.  From the looks of it, the kitten probably won't have the opportunity to roam around any longer, as the woman doesn't seem to want to put him down.  Our patterns use only full cross stitches. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
