His real name was Samuel Langhorne Clemens (November 30, 1835 – April 21, 1910), better known by his pen name Mark Twain. Not only was he a writer, but he was a humorist, entrepreneur, publisher, and lecturer. Among his greatest works are The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876), The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1885), and The Great American Novel.
