This religious counted cross stitch pattern entitled Noah's Ark, designed from a painting by Edward Hicks, shows the colossal ark built by Noah's own hand in preparation for the great flood. Animals paired up can be seen walking into the huge vessel. Since Noah was obedient and God was pleased with him, he spared Noah and his family from dying in the flood. God instructed Noah to build the ark to protect his family and all of the animals while it rained for 40 days and 40 nights, essentially enough to flood the earth. The water began to recede at the end of the 40 days, and dry land was spotted. And God made a promise never to send the great flood again. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
