This fine art counted cross-stitch pattern entitled The Milk Jug designed from a painting by Marianne Stokes shows a young girl leaning against an old stone wall and bundled in a headscarf and woolen coat, holding a small tan earthenware vessel. Dressed in worn, patched clothing and standing outside in the snow, the child's hunger is evident in how she clutches her small jug tightly to her chest with a quiet, longing expression.  You can almost smell the faint scent of crisp winter air and damp stone drifting on a soft morning breeze. Every delicate highlight captures the gentle innocence of soft light across her tranquil posture.  Our patterns use only full cross stitches. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
