This vintage counted cross stitch pattern entitled Song of the Goldfinch shows a little girl dressed in her Sunday's best listening to the melodic charm of a goldfinch. The goldfinch seems to have entranced her with his charm as she listens intently, and he has her undivided attention. The child is dressed conservatively in her vintage dress which beckons back to nostalgic times when little girls were dressed in a way to preserve their childhood and innocence instead of rushed into adulthood by provocative measures. She is a beautiful child and she seems to give off a glow. This pattern is a lovely testament to nostalgia. No blended colors are used in our patterns. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect. Only full cross stitches are used in our designs.
